What better way to spend your weekend than binge-watching romantic comedies? Despite all those typical predictable stories and cliches, we can’t stop watching romantic comedies every time because there’s something comforting and heartwarming. Netflix caught on early to the prowess of romantic comedies and has been filling their bookshelves with bountiful of great romantic comedies movies and series that cover a diverse range of romance. Below, we’ve assembled a list of what we believe are the best romantic comedies currently streaming on Netflix. We promise you’ll love at least half of these movies.


| The Wrong Missy (2020)

Tim has a blind date with Melissa, nicknamed Missy. Missy is extremely strange, and her odd behavior turns out to be disastrous for Tim. Her wild antics result in Tim sneaking out of the restaurant through a window and subsequently dislocating his ankle. Three months later, Tim meets a beautiful woman, also named Melissa, at an airport. They connect with much in common and seem to be perfect for each other. She ends up giving him her number. He begins texting her and eventually invites her to his work retreat in Hawaii. However, on the plane, Missy shows up, and Tim realizes he had been texting the wrong Melissa.

Gabriela Diaz’s (Christina Milian) San Francisco design firm folds the week of her break-up. Inspired by a potent concoction of wine and Wi-Fi, she successfully enters a contest to “Win an Inn” overlooking New Zealand’s countryside. Thousands of airline miles later, she discovers The Bellbird Valley Farm boasts a crumbling facade, floorboard-treading goat, and meddling neighbor who covets the space. Eager to renovate and sell the property fast, she partners with Jake Taylor (Adam Demos), the Kiwi contractor and volunteer firefighter observing much of her city-girl culture shock. | The Prince & Me (2004)

At the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Paige, a pre-med student and a farm girl from Manitowoc, meets Eddie, a fellow student from Denmark, whom she first dislikes but later accepts, likes, and loves. Paige takes Eddie to her home for the Thanksgiving weekend. Paparazzi find and photograph the couple, and Paige learns that Eddie is truly Crown Prince Edvard. Failing health causes King Haraald to abdicate in favor of Edvard, so Eddie returns to Copenhagen, then Paige follows her heart to Copenhagen, where Edvard warmly welcomes her, takes her to the castle, and introduces her to the royal family. Queen Rosalind first expresses opposition to Paige but later relents; King Haraald soon warms to her; Edvard proposes, Paige accepts, and he gives her a ring. However, Paige recalls her previous dream of going to Doctors Without Borders, so she breaks off and returns to school.
