The Best Action Camera to Save 2021

It is not a very good time of life to go traveling, but that does not mean we can’t make a video of ourselves doing all sorts of crazy things in the mountains or at the beach in the neighborhood. Cool stuff always happens when there is no camera ready. And we can’t go jumping up and down with our phones or cameras in our hands, because well, they are too expensive. And some installment plan is probably still left to be paid off. To save us from being left with nothing but credit card bills, action cameras happened.

Now, I know that GoPro is usually the first and mostly the only action camera that comes to mind since well, every videographer seems to use it. However, I am happy to announce that GoPro is not the only player in the race, and there are plenty of other cameras capable of bringing you the video you’ve hoped for.

You want an action cam, but then 360 also looks nice and you are forever trapped in that loop? Throw away your tissues, because Insta 360 One R Twin Edition is here to swoop you out. Insta 360 One R Twin Edition is both of these cameras, with three lens modules you can swap depending on the shot you intend to shoot. With this little guy you are equipped with a 4k camera, a dual-lens 360 camera, and a wide angle lean with a sensor that enables you to shoot 5k videos. You would need to pay extra for the wide angle Leica module, but believe me, you will not regret it. However, even without the wide-angle function, Insta 360 One R Twin Edition is still good to go.

The best thing about this product is that its company never seems to rest. It constantly improves the products, adds features and makes accessories. You know you have bought the right product when the provider never stops caring for its customers and its services.

DJI Osmo Action – Selfie-Lovers

Some of you might already know DJI. They are famous for their camera drones. But did you know, they also have a very good action camera as well? Osmo Action is DJI’s first action camera, and despite being the first, it is definitely not the least. It has its big drone brother having its back. The camera is like their smart baby sister. So if you are in a position where you can’t afford a drone, but then you want to shoot some heavy actions with a tighter budget and semi-drone-like functions, this is what you should buy.

This small action cam is waterproof and features 4K/60fps 100 Mbps video. One of the best things about this camera is its dual screens; it has a color front screen to make sure that you are filming the right subject. Osmo Action also has great stabilization, a customizable preset that saves your time from going in and out of menus, and most of all, responds to voice commands. It does have some downsides such as not supporting GPS or social sharing features, but seeing what it can offer, you can say it’s basically free.

Akaso Brave 7 LE – King of Cost-Effectiveness

It’s time to break your prejudice about action cameras being too expensive for their size. I can confidently say that this one is the king of budget action cameras. Akaso Brave 7 LE camera features 4K video, has dual display, is equipped with an excellent image stabilization AND is waterproof. All of this in less than $150! If I may, they don’t just sell the body at that price. They offer you a whole package including a remote, two batteries, a waterproof case, charger and all sorts of accessories that would make your adventures easier. It also comes with several shooting options, from time lapse to loop recording. Don’t feel doubtful because the price is too reasonable! It has everything it needs to have and still managed to make the budget cut.

I can go on and on on what this little thing is capable of doing, but then I would have to write a whole other article. You would have never guessed that someone would be so generous that he/she just decided to give away everything they can offer. Even I let out happy tears.

If you are looking for a camera that can fit into tight spots, you’ve come to the right place. Some sports enthusiasts have trouble finding the right spot to place their action cameras. Oclu Action Camera has a unique design very far from what other action cameras look like. It has a flat body with a screen on top. The camera may look unfriendly at first, but come to think of it, the flat design can be quite handy. It can fit into places that other cameras can’t. It could be anywhere, including under your skateboard, helmet, racecars, and etc.

Apart from the unique design, it is equipped with 2 different fps useful for filming extreme movements. People with wrist problems, I present to you, a bit pricey savior. If you are willing to pay some extra money, Sony RXO ii should definitely be on your list of considerations. This camera weighs only 110gs and is by far the tiniest camera you can find in the market. Despite its extremely compact size, the functions are not to be looked down upon. It is capable of shooting a slo-mo video at up to 1,000fps; something GoPro wishes it could do. Its 1-inch sensor can shoot 15.3MP still images as well as produce beautiful videos. On top of that this little guy is waterproof AND crush-proof, so be as extreme as you want to be.

The only downside of this product is that it is a bit expensive, but what the outcomes that it promises to provide is quite worth it. You want mind blowing slo-mo footage and the best quality of an image you can get, this should already be resting in your cart.

Of course, this might all be too much information to absorb and you feel a bit lazy to look up these products. But still, it is nice to know you have options.  And the options that I’ve just suggested to you are good ones, with promising results and functions. You will see some things that GoPro is not capable of doing. Know what you are provided with, search through the market, pay the right price. Be a smart consumer. So if you don’t feel too lazy today with not much to do, I recommend you to consider the listed players above. They might be the winner for you.
